Who We Are

<Na Fianna> is an Irish-themed guild (see tabard).  In Irish mythology, the Fianna were a band of legendary warriors led by Fionn Mac Cumhaill.  They were warrior-poets held to a strict code of honor.  While it is anticipated that, at least at first, <Na Fianna> will appeal particularly to those with an interest in Irish culture, all are welcome to join.  Guild members are encouraged to wear a Guild Tabard.

What We Do

While it would be desirable to have server-wide renown, we understand that such status must be earned.  To that end, we focus on helping members with quests and leveling.  That being said, members should in no way feel restricted when it comes to participation in battlegrounds, arenas, etc.  At this time, the guild is assembling premade teams known as Flying Columns to assist characters above level 50 with reaching level 80, running dungeons and BGs, and eventually conducting raids.  While <Na Fianna> would like to make its name through dungeons and raids, we understand that we need to help our membership attain levels worthy of those ends as well as increasing high-level enrollment before we can complete such an undertaking.

What's Up With That Crazy Language?

In keeping with the Irish theme of the guild, the guild name and titles are in Irish.

Guild Leadership

Questions and problems should be brought to Antaíne or Zamm, the Taoiseach and Ceannasaí, respectively.  Another Ceannasaí, Antaine, is the alter-ego of Antaíne, the Taoiseach, and can be treated as one and the same.

NEW MEMBERS AND RANK
By default, all new members of the guild enter at Rúnpháirtí.  They will remain this rank for approximately one week in order to mitigate "grab and /gquit" abuses of the guild bank.  After that time, those above level 20 can expect to be promoted to to Óglach, where they will have bank privileges and the ability to invite new members.  Exceptions include low-level characters who are not alts of higher level members (below level 20) and those who may be temporarily penalized for behavior, etc with a loss of priviliges.  Alts of regular members may be promoted immediately to Óglach.

Regular members hold the ranks of Óglach and Comhalta.  Ridire and Ceannfort are considered officer status.

PROMOTIONS AND OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
Rewards, promotions and disciplinary actions will need to be handled on a case-by-case basis as need arises.

Ceannfoirt (Commandants) should promote exceptional members from Óglach to Comhalta only.  In rare occasions, a Ceannfort may promote a member to Ridire, but this is to be reserved for truly exceptional members.

****Ceannfoirt should refrain from creating other Ceannfoirt.  If a Ceannfort feels such a promotion is warranted, they should email the Taoiseach or Ceannasaí with the player's name and the reason(s) why they feel such a promotion is warranted.

REQUIREMENTS OF MEMBERSHIP AND INACTIVITY
There are no particular requirements to join, but players who are inactive for over 1 month will be removed from the rolls.  A mail will be sent to removed members explaining the situation and inviting them to rejoin should they become active again.  Exceptions include alts of members and special circumstances as determined by the officership on a case-by-case basis.  Anyone removed from the guild for inactivity need only ask a member for re-enlistment and contact an officer for possible reinstatement to former rank.
